Objective

Strengthen the U.S. Congress’ role as a reliable security partner in the Indo-Pacific region and balance against threats from China in the age of Great Power Competition. Build knowledge of alliance with emphases on Japan’s defense capabilities and capacity to deter regional threats, collaboration with security partners such as the U.S., South Korea, and the Quad, and diplomatic efforts to stimulate international cooperation from a soft power perspective.
