Objective

Develop an in-depth understanding of how the Japanese government protects trademark rights at—and within—its borders. Learn what interests drive policy making and practical aspects of trademark application, registration, and protection. Understand how Japan interacts with foreign governments to facilitate trademark protection worldwide. Develop closer ties with counterparts in the Japanese government to facilitate greater communication and coordination upon return to the United States.
