Objective

Develop a deep insight and understanding of Japan's defense policymaking processes and how these policies relate to future U.S.-Japan cooperative defense in the East Asia/Pacific region. Additionally, understand civil-military diplomatic cooperation from the Japanese perspective and how it relates to national defense policy and humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
