Mansfield Alumni Fellow Published in NIES Magazine

Michele Tempel (MFP 23) wrote about her placement with Japan’s National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) in the institute’s latest magazine. Captain Tempel completed her Fellowship year this summer, and focused on Japan’s environmental policy development and implementation. In the article (available online in Japanese), the Air Force officer talks about the history of the Mansfield Fellowship Program, her own Fellowship experience, and how her time at NIES is helping her in her new position as Environmental Program Manager at Misawa Air Base in Aomori, Japan.
