Mansfield Alumni Fellow Organizes Aerospace Workshop for NASA, JAXA

Drawing on his Fellowship experience, Michael Fletcher (MFP 21) recently helped organize a workshop at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley between NASA, JAXA, and several U.S. and Japanese industrial companies from the aerospace sector. Using connections made during his placement with JAXA, he assisted in gathering approximately 90 individuals, about 40 of whom were Japanese. Fletcher, a member of the Mansfield U.S.-Japan Space Forum, was also joined by two other Forum participants. The workshop covered topics of space science, exploration, and enabling technologies for future space
