Mansfield Fellows Provide Report to NPA
January 24, 2019
Yesterday, January 23, several members of the current class of Mansfield Fellows visited Japan’s National Personnel Authority (NPA) to provide mid-term reports on their placements with Japanese government agencies. The federal employees participating in the twenty third class of the Mansfield Fellowship Program are now halfway through ten months of experience with Japanese counterparts and analogues to their home agencies, and this meeting was an opportunity to provide feedback on their progress.
The NPA is a crucial partner in the program, assisting Fellows in finding experiences that add to their understanding of Japanese government processes and uncover ways to strengthen U.S.-Japan cooperation.
The Fellows in attendance gave presentations in Japanese, summarizing their experience, goals, and steps taken toward those goals over the past five months.
We look forward to more updates from the twenty third class of Fellows over the remaining months of their placements!
