Gunnery Sergeant Courtney Yountz (USMC), a member of the newly-announced twenty fourth class of Mansfield Fellows, was recently featured in CHIPS, the Department of the Navy’s IT magazine.
Gunnery Sergeant Yountz is a Strategic Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager attached to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit and is the first enlisted Marine to participate in the fellowship program. He hopes to gain further understanding of Japan’s radio frequency (RF) spectrum allocation process and how it relates to the Marine Corps’ RF usage.
The press release announcing the twenty-fourth class of Mansfield Fellows is on our website here.
Yesterday, February 20, current Mansfield Fellow Heather Ward, an International Cooperation Specialist at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), spoke at a public event in Tokyo hosted by the Mansfield Foundation and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS). Her seminar addressed USAID’s “Journey to Self-Reliance” initiative and provided an overview of USAID’s mission, organization, and development policy priorities.
